Bringing the Goat home...

This Fall, we brought the experience and flavors of Girl & the Goat to an intimate 40th birthday dinner party in Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood. As always, our chef teams were present to freshly prepare and cook the client's dream menu consisting of many of our classic dishes that made Girl & the Goat the restaurant Chicago knows and loves today.

The evening started with guests surrounding the kitchen island, snacking on our signature charcuterie spread of cheeses and cured meats with assorted house made bread and crackers, alongside seasonal jams and accoutrements such as our warm marinated olives! As the guests were seated for dinner, servers presented even more Girl & the Goat family-style favorites like the roasted pork shank, sautéed green beans, Mediterranean sea bass, and roasted cauliflower. The evening would not have been complete without our bartender shaking up custom cocktails and pouring a premium selection of wines—all hands were on deck to ensure that guests could truly focus on the most important thing: celebrating! In home private dining is where Goat Group Catering first began, and we are experienced in how to curate the perfect, elevated dinner in the comfort of your abode.

Elevating office lunch...

Chicago works hard. As Chef Stephanie Izard says "Chicago IS the best food city in the country," and what better way to reward hard work than with great food! We think lunch at the office should be no exception... and enjoying a good meal shouldn't be limited to restaurant reservations.

We were recently invited to cater a delicious lunch spread to one of our neighborhood local businesses in their bright and sunny West Loop office. An array of turkey and veggie sammies on house made bread, masa chips with pimento cheese and carrot hummus, and our signature Kohlrabi Salad made their 12 o'clock meeting something to look forward to.

Not your typical canapé...

For a unique bride and groom on their wedding day, special bites and a globally inspired meal is a must. In Summer of 2017, we catered Olivia and Scott's beautiful wedding reception at Ovation Chicago with a spread of Duck Duck Goat favorites. Passed bites included our signature mini BBQ pork bao, veggie spring rolls, crab rangoon, scallion pancakes with twice cooked pork belly, and many more "reasonably authentic" Chinese bites.

The party didn't end there—guests continued their culinary journey and enjoyed a family style seated dinner featuring Duck Duck Goat's beef slap noodles, seafood fried rice, hongshao rou and more!

Surprise and delight guests with unexpected wedding day spreads to keep the excitement going from the first toast to the last bite!

From our rooftop to your venue...

The newest restaurant in our family, Cabra Cevicheria, just opened in April of 2019! We are thrilled to be able to bring the fun rooftop getaway vibes of Cabra to your event. From fresh ceviches and tiraditos to empanadas and anticucho skewers, the Peruvian-inspired dishes of Cabra translate seamlessly to our array of catering event styles.

We were invited to bring the flavors and the fun from our rooftop to a local apartment building's opening celebration! New tenants mingled as they were passed bites of our classic ceviche with bass and golden raisin leche de tigre and our chorizo anticucho skewers with amarillo mayo and serrano-cilantro. Food stations consisted of mini versions of Cabra menu highlights like Crab Causa, Goat Empanadas, and Shrimp Ceviche. We were honored to bring a unique Peruvian-inspired flair to a client’s special occasion!
