We’ve successfully brought our menus to life in venues all over Chicago and beyond, however we do sometimes face limitations by space and kitchen equipment requirements to prepare and cook certain dishes offsite. Our seasonal full service and drop off catering menus include a majority of the dishes we are able to make, but if you have a specific dish that is one of your Goat Restaurant favorites, we can work with our chef teams to determine if we can accommodate specific menu requests!
We are able to work in the Chicagoland area as well as its surrounding suburbs. Please note that our trucking fees are based on the distance and the scale of the event, and will be built into your catering proposal. Outside of the Chicagoland area, we are able to cater in other areas of the country with the help of partner chefs and companies to make your event come to life wherever we can.
If you have a specific theme or menu/style of menu that you are interested in, we are happy to discuss options for creativity. As a chef-driven operation that is based entirely on Stephanie’s restaurants, we will always work to find themed parallels within our cuisine's seasonal offerings.
Due to our catering and liquor licenses we are unable to provide alcohol with our drop off service unless someone from our team is on site to serve it. See our "everything else" pages to read more about our Bar Services and Staffing options.
For offsite catering we require a food and beverage minimum of $3,000.
While we love participating in cocktail and happy hour receptions, all of our passed bite options require an on site chef to assemble and therefore cannot be dropped off. We suggest checking out our selection of hot drop off or food stations such as charcuterie or crudité.
At Goat Group Catering all of our full service offsite catering events require a chef team as the food is cooked and prepared live. For this reason we prefer to work in event spaces with a designated back of house and prep area for us to use. If your event space does not have a designated back of house area, we strongly encourage you to work with our drop off catering menus.
All of our back of house staff is ServeSafe Food Handler certified and all of our front of house staff is ServSafe Food Handler and Basset certified. We are also able to provide and serve liquor at offsite events.
For evening events we dress all of our staff in black pants and black button downs, but if you have a vision for your event we are happy to accommodate and work with you to bring it to life! For day time events our staff is in black button downs and dark denim pants.
